Tasha Roth is an artist based in Lincoln City, OR. She specializes in acrylic seascapes, forest, wildlife and mountain scapes. She utilizes up-cycled materials (like broken surfboards) whenever possible. Her art expresses her love for the Nature and appreciation of present moments through vibrant representations of her environments.
Prior to launching her art career, Tasha studied Environmental Biology at the University of Tampa. Through her studies, Tasha was fueled to take action against environmental destruction and bring awareness to her natural surroundings.
After graduation, Tasha began a career working with landfills to minimize gas emissions, and testing aggregate material to meet structural and environmental regulations. While she knew her work was making a direct positive impact on the environment, she felt unfulfilled in her quest to make real difference for the planet.
Tasha found a renewed connection with the ocean and wildlife through surfing, rock climbing and hiking. The sea and the forest became sacred spaces for Tasha, and she gravitated towards the natural meditation she found in the rolling waves and quiet moments amongst the trees.
After several years, Tasha decided to put the waves and trails she saw in her daily life onto a canvas. She quickly realized that art was a vessel for sharing her enthusiasm for nature as well as a reminder to slow down. Today, Tasha is a full time artist who uses her work to celebrate the beauty of natural environments, and create discourse around environmental conservation. Tasha donates portions of the proceeds she generates through her art to causes she believes in, and actively participates in environmental groups & organizations.
